Ingredients

2 1/4 cups Bisquick Mix (or equivalent substitute)

2/3 cup Buttermilk

1 teaspoon Granulated sugar

1 tablespoon Butter , melted

1 tablespoon Melted Butter , for brushing

Directions

Preheat oven to 450 degrees. In a large mixing bowl, combine the Bisquick Mix, buttermilk, and sugar. Add the melted tablespoon of butter into the batter. Stir until a soft batter forms. Turn out onto a well floured work surface. Knead 20 times (this is a very forgiving dough), and don't be afraid to get additional flour into the dough. Roll out to 1/2" thick (or thicker if you prefer towering biscuits). Using a biscuit cutter or whatever cutter size you desire, cut out the biscuit rounds. Place biscuits close together on an ungreased baking sheet. Brush tops with melted butter. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and brush biscuit tops with melted butter again.
