Dutch Oven Style Baked Beans

Ingredients

1 pound Bacon slices

3 cups onion chopped - finely

1 1/2 cups Green pepper chopped

1/2 cup Dark molasses

2/3 cup Worchestersire Sauce

1 1/2 cup Dark brown sugar

3 teaspoon Salt

3/4 teaspoon Pepper

3/4 teaspoon Oregano

1 # 10 can Bushes Baked Beans

2 #6 Cans Bushes Baked Beans


Directions

Cut bacon, before you seperate bacon into 3/8" strips, across the grain, Fry bacon in dutch oven; reserve 6 tablespoons fat. After bacon is crisp. drain and set aside. Saute onion and green pepper, I omit green peppers. Cook about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Drain Beans. Put beans into 12 Dutch Oven. Mix in remaining ingredients stirring well. Add Bacon Cook for one hour at 400 Degrees . (6 - #2 cans equal 1.5 # 10 cans)
