Fish Tikka

Ingredients

500 grams fish cut into 1 1/2" pcs & 1" thick

1

4 tbsp lemon juice

0.5 tsp black pepper

1 pinch of Salt

0.5 tsp red / yellow chilli powder

1

4 grams flour dry roasted on medium heat

4 cans substitute with olive oil

6 tbsp cheddar cheese finely grated at room temp

1 cup thick curd hung in a muslin cloth to remove whey

1

1 cup green corriander leaves chopped

0.25 cup mint leaves chopped

2 can reduce to suit palate

8 tsp fennel / aniseed

5 flakes garlic (up to 6 flakes)

1 1" piece ginger

4 tbsp lemon juice

0.5 tsp salt 1/2 tsp crushed black pepper


Directions

Pat fish dry. Pull all ingredients for first marination, in a flat dish and mix well. Rub fish into this and keep aside for 15 min Mix ingredients for second marination well. Ensure cheese is totally smooth. It can be passed thru a sieve if required. Add the prepared green paste to this. Remove fish from first marinade ensuring all the excess liquid is left behind. Coat well in second marinade. Leave for 1 hour. Grill on a coal barbeque for 5-6 min. Serve garnished with onion rings sprinkled with salt and lemon juice.

can be made in an oven. place on greased wire rack. grill for 8-10 mins. baste with oil after 6-7 min. do not overcook [I posted this recipe.]
