Ingredients

1/3 cup walnuts

1/3 cup diced or sliced almonds

1/3 cup sliced pecans

1/3 cup lightly packed brown sugar

1 cup whole wheat flour

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp baking powder

1 tsp Salt

1 tsp vanilla

2 cup oats

1/2 cup Honey

Directions

1. Mix all dry ingredients then mix in the wet, will be crumbly when mixed. 2. Grease 11x13 pan. Press dough firmly in pan with knuckles (it hurts a little because of the nuts). 3. Bake 325F for 20-23 minutes or until edges are browned. 4. Let cool completely. Loosen edges and cut into ten bars. 5. Take them out of pan and put into a airtight container.

Great recipe, i doubled it & was a little too sweet for me so think I will reduce the sugar or omit it next time & definitely halve the salt!

After being discouraged with store bought granola bars, I started searching for a way to make them at home. Found it! I did add two egg whites to make them a little softer. I also substituted 1/2 cup of the oats with crisp rice, just for fun. My family loved them!
