Irish Soda Bread with Raisins

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 375. spray 8" cake pan with Pam. 2. Whisk flour, 4 tbsp sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda in large bowl to blend. Add butter. Rub in until coarse meal forms. 3. Make a well in center of flour mixture. Add buttermilk, gradually stirring dry ingredients into the milk. Mix in the raisins. 4. Using floured hands shape dough into a ball. Transfer to greased pan and flatten slightly. Sprinkle dough with remaining 1 tablespoon sugar. 5. Bake bread until brown, about 40 minutes.
