Jule's Gluten Free Lasagna

Ingredients

1/2 pound Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese Grated

2 cloves Garlic finely chopped

30 oz fresh ricotta

2 28 ounce can Crushed tomatoes

2 package of Barilla® Gluten Free Oven-Ready Lasagne

1 6 oz Tomato paste

12 ounces Provolone Grated

2 sprigs of fresh thyme

12 ounces Mozzarella Grated

4 bay leaves

12 ounces Romano Grated

4 teaspoons dried oregano

2 egg

4 teaspoons dried basil

1 tablespoon of fresh basil

pinch crushed red pepper

2 cloves Garlic Chopped

2 ounces Parmigiano-Reggiano

Salt

1 30 oz Tomato sauce

Black pepper Freshly ground

2 tea Ground black pepper

Jule's Meat Sauce

1 tablespoon Sugar

2 tablespoons olive oil

1/3 cup Parmesan cheese

2 pounds Hot Italian Sausage

1 medium Green pepper minced

1 medium Onion finely chopped

1 tablespoon Butter

1/2 cup Celery finely chopped

1 tablespoon Fennel

1/2 cup Carrot finely chopped

pinch Cayenne pepper

1 teaspoon Salt


Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta, Provolone, Mozzarella, Romano, eggs, basil and garlic. Mix well. Season with salt and pepper. To assemble, cover the bottom of the deep dish lasagna pan with noodles. Spread a 1/4 of the cheese filling evenly over the noodles. Spread 1/4 of the meat sauce Cheese filling. 1/4 of the cheese filling over the sauce. Repeat the above process with the remaining ingredients, toping the lasagna with the remaining sauce. Cover with tin foil and place in the oven and bake for 30min. Remove tin foil and bake until bubbly and golden, about 15- 30 additional minutes. Remove from the oven and cool for 10 minutes before serving. Slice and serve. Jule's Meat Sauce: In a skillet bowl sausage, drain fat. In a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat, cook the celery, onion, and garlic until translucent, throughly emulsify . Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce, and sausage. Mix in sugar and seasoning. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally. Remove Bay leafs
