Jule's awesome lasagna modified to be gluten free.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta, Provolone, Mozzarella, Romano, eggs, basil and garlic. Mix well. Season with salt and pepper. To assemble, cover the bottom of the deep dish lasagna pan with noodles. Spread a 1/4 of the cheese filling evenly over the noodles. Spread 1/4 of the meat sauce Cheese filling. 1/4 of the cheese filling over the sauce. Repeat the above process with the remaining ingredients, toping the lasagna with the remaining sauce. Cover with tin foil and place in the oven and bake for 30min. Remove tin foil and bake until bubbly and golden, about 15- 30 additional minutes. Remove from the oven and cool for 10 minutes before serving. Slice and serve.
Jule's Meat Sauce:
In a skillet bowl sausage, drain fat. In a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat, cook the celery, onion, and garlic until translucent, throughly emulsify . Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce, and sausage. Mix in sugar and seasoning. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally. Remove Bay leafs
