Monson's Christmas Gingersnaps

Ingredients

2 cups Shortening butter flavored

2 cups Sugar

2 Eggs

1/2 cup Molasses dark

4 cups Flour

2 tablespoons Baking soda

1/2 teaspoon Salt

2 teaspoons Cinnamon

1 teaspoon Ginger

2 teaspoons Cloves


Directions

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and molasses. Sift all dry ingredients, and add to creamed mixture. Stir well. Shape dough in 1 1/2 inch balls, and roll in sugar. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 12 minutes in preheated 350 degree oven. Cool on cookie sheet.
