Peanut Brittle

Ingredients

5 cups sugar

1 cup White Karo

1 cup water

2 1/2 cups raw peanuts

2 tablespoons oleo

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon vanilla


Directions

Cook sugar, Karo and water until it forms a hard ball. Add peanuts and continue to cook until mixture turns golden brown. Remove from heat and stir in oleo, salt and vanilla. Stir in baking soda. Pour on a thin sheet of foil well greased with crisco. Allow to cool then break into pieces.
