Ingredients

1 cup uncooked

1/2 ts whole

1 cup shelled

1 medium chopped

3 tbs

1 pinch

2 cups


Directions

Pick, wash and soak rice for twenty minutes.Drain. Peel and slice the onion. Heat oil in heavy pan, add cumin seeds and once it starts to crackle add onions. Fry until translucent. Add peas, saut? for 2-3 minutes. Add the rice then water and salt. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and cook. When all water is absorbed, serve hot.
