Pie Crust

Pie Crust. Used for shells or fruit pies ( 2 crusts top and bottom)

Ingredients

1 Lb Crisco shortening

4 Cup Flour

1 Tbsp Vinegar

1/2 Tsp Salt

1 Cup Cold water


Directions

Add flour and salt to mixing bowl and stir together. Add the vinegar to the cold water. Make a well in flour and add water/vinegar. Mix together. Roll into balls about the size of the palm of your hand. Each ball is a shell. Can be used for 2 shell pies or 1. If making a shell place flour on counter and roll out. Place in pie plate with crust hanging over. Push the crust in the pan leaving extra on the edges. Crimp the top edges. Use a fork to poke the crust everywhere. Place in oven and bake at 450 deg F for 8 minutes. Reduce oven to 350 deg F until crust is golden. Remove and cool. Fill with your favourite filling I.e lemon, chocolate etc.
