Russian Chicken

Minutes in prep time and really delicious, a great cold weather comfort meal that is really inexpensive. If you have any left overs; they are amazing!

Ingredients

16 Chicken legs or thighs

1 cup Kraft Russian Salad Dressing

1/2 cup Kraft Sundried Tomato Salad Dressing

1 package Lipton Onion Soup powder

2 tbsp Garlic

1/2 tsp. Pepper

6 cups Basmati Rice

3 tbsp Fresh Cilantro


Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine first 6 ingredients in a roasting pan with lid. Be sure to coat chicken thoroughly. Bake for 1 1/2 hours or until chicken is really tender. Remove lid and bake for another 1/2 hour to thicken and caramelize sauce to the chicken. Portion rice onto plates; spoon some of the sauce onto the rice; place chicken on top. Garnish with chopped fresh cilantro.

This dish is simple to prepare and delicious. My family loves it!

If you remove the skin the meat will fall off the bone. I use a combination of legs and thighs. Don't add any salt; the onion soup powder will make it salty enough. When you remove the lid turn all thighs (if using) "top side" up to caramelize. [I posted this recipe.]
