Steak in Mushroom Sauce

Ingredients

beef steaks

1 tbsp. butter

250 g fresh mushrooms sliced

1 tbsp. butter

½ cup leek chopped

2 tbsp. flour

1 cups fresh cream

2 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce

garlic clove finely chopped

salt and freshly ground pepper


Directions

1. Trim steaks. 2. In a large frying pan fry mushrooms in butter until they are slightly brown; add leeks and garlic and continue to fry until they are transparent. Sprinkle with flour and stir to blend. 3. Add cream, stirring a little at a time, simmer until thick and creamy. Add Worcestershire Sauce, salt and freshly ground pepper. 4. In another pan, heat tablespoon butter; add steaks and brown slightly on both sides. Reduce heat, cover and allow steaks to simmer for a few minutes in their own juices. 5. Pour mushroom sauce over steaks and continue simmering for a few more minutes until they are tender and done to your liking.
