Ingredients

4 large Apples peeled, cored and rinsed.

1 teaspoon Sugar

1 tablespoon Water

Directions

Slice apples into a microwave proof dish, add sugar then water and cover with cling wrap, leaving a slight gap on either side of the dish for steam to escape. Place in microwave and cook on high for 2 minutes, take out and uncover carefully, stir gently, cover loosely and return to microwave for a further 2 minutes on high.Let stand 2 minutes before serving. I use Lady Williams Apples as I find they keep there colour and shape well and do not go brown like so many other varieties do.

A great snack!

I used granny smith apples and they took a bit longer to thoroughly cook. But it was a good and very simple recipe to make. I made the mistake of adding more water than was needed but I'll know for next time.

Nice and easy. I kept half for myself blended the rest for my wife who has an eating difficulty. I added a spoon of lime juice which added a little tang to the sweet Pink Lady apples I used

This is a very versatile recipe and can be used for many other dishes such as Apple Pie, Apple Turnovers, Apple Crumble etc. Spices can be added to your own tastes. [I posted this recipe.]
