Stoebe's Chili

Some like it hot some don't. I tend to add 1 tsp of cayenne pepper and no hot sauce. The rest of the measurements are the same. I also use my on tomato sauce.

Ingredients

2 pounds Ground beef

1 pound Pork veal beef mix

1 (15) can (ounces) Chili beans mild sauce (not drained)

1 (15) can (ounces) Light red kidney beans drained and rinsed

1 (15) can (ounces) Dark red kidney beans drained and rinsed

1 (15) can (ounces) Pinto beans drained and rinsed

2 (14.5) cans (ounces) Tomatoes not drained

1 (6) can (ounce) Tomato paste

1 large Sweet onion chopped

3 stalks Celery chopped

2 Jalapeno peppers chopped

1 tablespoon Bacon bits

1 Beer (ale)

1 cup Beef broth

2 tablespoons Chili powder

3 cloves Garlic minced

1 tablespoon Dried oregano

2 teaspoons Ground cumin

2 teaspoons Hot sauce

1 tablespoon Dried basil

1 teaspoon Salt

1 teaspoon Pepper

2 tablespoons Cayenne pepper

2 tablespoons Smoked paprika

2 tablespoons Dark brown sugar


Directions

Brown the ground beef, pork and veal. Romove and sauté the celery and onion in olive oil. Then add the garlic and spices and cook until browned. Add the remaining ingredients, bring to a boil and simmer for one hour.
