Ingredients

2 lbs Boneless chuck steak 3/4 cubes

1 lbs Ground sirlion

1 15 oz can Mexican pinto beans

1 15 oz can Pinto beans

4-6 Garlic cloves

2 cups Sweet onion

2 Jalapeno peppers seeded/optional

1 Bell pepper

2 tbs Corn oil

1/2 cup Chili powder

1/2 tsp Cayenne pepper

3 tbs Cornmeal

2 tsp Dried oregano

2 tsp Cumin

2 tsp Cocoa powder (important) Hershey's

2 1/2 cups Chicken broth

2 tsp Molasses

1 15 oz can Diced tomatoes

1 12 oz bottle Favorite beer Lager


Directions

1. Preheat the oven to 300°F. 2. Chop vegetables and sauté them in a Dutch oven until soft. 3. Add chili powder, cornmeal, cumin, oregano, cayenne, and cocoa powder. Stir on medium-low heat for 2-3 minutes. 4. Pour in stock/broth, molasses, diced tomatoes, beans, and salt. 5. In another skillet, heat oil. Pat the steak dry and work in two batches, cooking until slightly browned. 6. Pour half a beer (6oz) into the skillet, scraping up the brown bits. 7. Transfer the steak to the Dutch oven and heat through with the lid on for 8-10 minutes. 8. Cook the ground meat separately, then add it to the Dutch oven. 9. Place the Dutch oven in the oven for 1 1/2 hours at 300 degrees.
