Mix thoroughly butter and sugar. Stir in milk, egg, and vanilla. Finally add flour and mix well. Chill until firm. When firm roll out 1/8 thick on a lightly floured board. cut out with cookie cutters and place on a greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes. Frost with Valentine cookie frosting.
