Ingredients

1-1.25 cups quinoa uncooked

.5 cup black beans dry (or 1 can cooked beans)

1 carrot grated

3 large cloves garlic grated

1 small onion minced

.5 cups breadcrumbs

1 tablespoons cumin ground

.5 tablespoons sweet paprika

pinch salt

pinch pepper

.5 tablespoons baking soda

1 small banana (or 3/4 of a large banana)

1 tablespoon oil

Directions

If using dry beans, soak overnight and boil them over medium heat until soft (about 4 hours). Add 2 parts water to the quinoa and cook over low head for 15-20 minutes, or until water if fully absorbed. Combine drained beans and banana and mash into a purée. Mix all other ingredients in a separate bowl. Combine all ingredients. Heat frying pan with oil on low-medium heat. Form mixture into tight patties and place in frying pan. Heat for 10 minutes on each side. Makes 15 burgers.

How can something with so many ingredients taste so bland!? Never again

Guys check your quinoa pack. I had to use 5 parts water not 2, mix is a bit fall apart-y but just flour up your hands and be careful. But is a nice meal. Shall be using it for a shepards pie instead of mince tonight :-)

Followed to a T and just tasted like complete crap.

The taste is amazing but mine just turned into a big pile of mush in the skillet. I scooped all that out of the pan then added 2 eggs and more bread crumbs to the rest and they made nice patties.
