Ingredients
Preparation
Peel Onion - Cut in half lengthwise & cut in thin slices lengthwise.
Spread over bottom of casserole or Pyrex dish.
Peel Garlic cloves and roughly chop - not too small.
Sprinkle Garlic over Onion slices.
Sprinkle Chicken with salt / pepper (both sides) and place on top of Onions.
Melt Butter and drizzle over Chicken.
Bake uncovered for 45 minutes to 1 hour until internal temperature is 180 F.
Remove from oven and take Chicken out and set aside.
Gravy
Pour Onion mixture into fry pan on
stove - bring to slow simmer.
Mix 4 tablespoons Flour with Cold
Water and whisk until smooth.
With Onion mixture simmering,
whisk in flour mixture and
continue to whisk until thickened.
You may want to add 1 or 2 Chicken
Bouillon Cubes or Chicken Base
for more flavor
