Suggest a better description1. Bring the water to a boil in a heavy saucepan; add the salt and stir in the rice with a fork. Cover and simmer over the lowest possible heat, stirring now and then, until the rice is very tender, about 35 minutes. 2. Add the milk, optional raisins, sugar and optional cinnamon and simmer, uncovered, stirring frequently, until most of the milk is absorbed, usually about 20 minutes. 3.
