This recipe combines two kid favorites - pizza and tacos. Invite children to help prepare the pizza or subsitute mini pizza crusts and let family members create their own pizzas.

Original recipe makes 6
1/2 poundGround pork
2 tablespoonstaco seasoning; (1/2 package)
1 6.5-oz packagepizza crust mix
1 cupsalsa
1 cupreduced fat shredded Colby Jack cheese
2/3 cuptortilla chips; coarsely crushed
1 1/2 cupslettuce; shredded
2 tablespoonssliced ripe olives

Easy Taco Pizza Preparation

Heat oven to 400 degrees F. In large non-stick skillet, cook ground pork with taco seasoning mix over medium heat for approximately 10 minutes or until pork iscrumbly and no longer pink. Prepare pizza crust according to package directions. Spread crust evenly on greased 12-inch pizza pan and top evenly with salsa. Sprinkle on taco meat, cheese, and tortilla chips. Bake in 400 degrees F. oven for 18-22 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Remove from oven, top with shredded lettuce and olives.

Our family liked this very much - it was easy and very tasty. I added refried beans (spread on the crust first) and used extra lean ground beef instead of the pork, and added chopped fresh tomatoes to the lettuce.
