Special K No Bake Peanut Butter Drop Cookies

This recipe was handed down to me by my husband's Grandmother. My husband had this often when he was a kid and now our kids are loving these as well. If you have a peanut butter lover in the house, they will LOVE this simple treat.

"I haven't had these in years!! I'm so glad I decided to search for no bake cookies and found this recipe. They are so yummy and from watching my Grandmother make them so easy to make as well. Thank you very much for sharing." - Weeza71

Closer to a confection than a cookie, these old-fashioned treats were very quick and easy to make and tasted great...albeit very sweet. They turned out exactly like cookies my maternal grandmother made every Christmas when I was a kid. My nieces and I made half the cookies just as the recipe stated. For the other half we used Special K Chocolatey Delight. Both versions turned out wonderfully but I especially liked how the flavor of the chocolatey pieces (similar to bittersweet baker's chocolate) melded with the peanut buttery sweetness of the cookies. I think Golden Grahams would also make for an excellent substitution.

For storing, place cookies on waxed paper and layer the cookies on top of each other with waxed paper in between each layer. Cover the cookies.
HINT - These freeze well. [I posted this recipe.]
