Chewy coconut macaroons that are easy!
"Keeper! This is the recipe I'll use from now on. Did take some trial and error to determine temp and time to cook them in my oven. In order to avoid being too brown on bottom I needed to reduce oven temp to 325. Also cooking time to 16-17 min, I also must use a silipat mat on my baking sheets. "- Jldozer
Top-ranked recipe named "Bj's Coconut Macaroons"
Measure and mix coconut and flour in a large mixing bowl. Add in salt, then condensed milk and egg white. Mix throughly. Drop 1/8 cup scoopfuls on to a cookie sheet. (I use my Pampered Chef scooper - works great!) Bake for 18-20 minutes at 350 degrees until golden brown. Remove from cookie sheet immediately and allow to cool on a wire rack.
I modified another recipe on BigOven to make these, in order to utilize a full 14 oz. can of sweetened condensed milk and increase the number of macaroons yielded.
Wendles25 moments agoLove this recipe! First time I made giant macaroons then made mini ones for Easter to go with key lime pie :)
jaydog 1 day 5 hours agoThe photo looks amazing and I can't wait to try it! One (probably silly) question though, what is meant by the 'ea' in 'one ea egg white?' Is this a typo? Does it only call for one egg white?
savannahchase 1 month agoEasy and fast. The edges browned up faster but I just adjusted the time to 15 min for second batch. Will make again.

Geminimay31st 3 months agoDelicious! Very simple to make and were very tasty. I think I made them too big and should have done smaller heaps but they turned out great anyway! I also melted some milk chocolate and dipped them in chocolate. Mmm mmm good!

chansman 4 months agoMade these today and they turned out great. Then I drizzled chocolate over them Delicious!!!
Caro66 4 months agoThe only size cans I can fine are 300 ml. The equivalent is app. 7 oz. so I used 2 cans. The cookies flatten out to much and the edges brown too much. What am I doing wrong?? They taste good, but I could not put them on a holiday plate.

Marc9852 7 months agoWow! Nice crunchy texture on the outside and moist and chewy inside. This recipe couldn't have been easier.
