My daughter loves to make this fun dish, and as you can imagine, kids have a blast decorating the fish body.
Child: Preheat oven to 425 deg F.
Child: Combine first 6 ingredients in a big bowl. Add mayonnaise to tuna mixture, stirring gently until combined. Cover and chill in refrigerator.
Child: Unroll piecrusts. Stack piecrusts on a lightly floured surface, making sure they don''t stick together.
Adult: Divide dough into 4 equal portions using a pastry wheel, pizza wheel, or small knife. Cut out 1 fish body (front and back) from each portion of dough. The bodies will resemble the shape of a football. Set fish body cut-outs aside, reserving scraps of dough.
Child: Whisk egg and 1 tablespoon water in a small bowl. Separate 8 fish cut-outs for the 4 fish to be made. Spoon one-fourth of tuna mixture in center of 1 fish cut-out, leaving a 1/2-inch border. Brush border with egg mixture. Place another fish cut-out on top of filling, pressing edges gently to seal.
Adult: Place stuffed piecrust on an ungreased baking sheet.
Child: Brush piecrust with with egg mixture.
Adult & Child: Create eyes, tails, and fins from dough scraps, and attach to each fish cut-out using the egg mixture like "glue". Do the same thing all over again with remaining dough, tuna mixture, and egg mixture. Coat each fish with cooking spray.
Adult: Bake at 425 deg F for 15 minutes or until tails and edges of fish are golden brown. Remove baking sheet from the oven using oven mitts.
Child: Decorate serving plates with Ranch dressing, celery slices, and fish-shaped crackers, if you''d like.
