Grandma's recipe
Cook rice until half done. Mix rice, beef, pork, garlic, celery, salt, pepper and onion together. Set aside. Wilt cabbage by steaming, so that it is limp and easy to roll. Roll mixture into cabbage rolls, set aside. In bottom of roasting pan, use bacon grease and flour to make a roux. After browned, add a little water. Layer sauerkraut, tomatoes and chopped the remaining cabbage into bottom of pan. Set cabbage rolls on top and cover. Bake at 350 until done.
