In a medium-size mixing bowl, combine white and green onins, garlic, cilantro and tomatillos.
Halve the avocados, remove the pit and peel; chop in 1/2 in. chunks. Add to tomatillo mixture along with lime juice, and salt and pepper to taste. Gently mix together, and serve. If not using immediately, cover with plastic wrap and refirgerate.
Think of this as guacamole with a difference. The tomatillos give a wonderfull depth of flavour. Serve it as a side dish to grilled chicken, pork, shellfish or fish steaks, or as an appetizer with tortilla chips.
