Quick and delicious recipe based on apple and red berries to keep you warm during the cold winter days.
Take the butter out of the fridge to soften it up.
Then prepare your apples. Spread 20g of butter in a deep pan, add the apples and the berries, stirring for a few minutes. Reduce the fire and close the lid until almost reaching a fruit compote (about 10min). Add some honey if desired to sweeten.
Now let's get ready to crumble ! Grind the digestive cookies in a food processor, mortar or equivalent.
Add the rest of the crumble ingredients in a bowl (sugar, butter, almond powder, flour) and work out the paste to a sand-like texture.
Lay the fruit compote in a gratin dish (or any over-friendly container), and add the crumble on top spreading evenly.
Pre-heat the oven for a few minutes in a hot oven (180-200 degrees) and cook for about 10min until the crumble is golden and crispy.
