Suggest a better descriptionCut the squashes in half and scoop out the seeds. Sprinkle the cut sides with salt. Place cut side down on a greased baking dish and bake at 200 C / 400F / Gas mark 6 for about 30 to 40 minutes until the squash is pierced easily with a fork. Turn cut sides up and score the cut side with a fork. Spread with the butter, drizzle with maple syrup and return to the oven for a few minutes to glaze. Serve hot.
