Suggest a better description1. Lightly butter a 12 hole pie/pastry tray.
2. Tip the mincemeat into a bowl and stir in any liquid.
3. Place the flour, sugar, almonds and butter in a seperate bowl and combine with your finger tips into a breadcrumb consistency.
4. Slowly combine the egg into the flour mixture with your fingers (try to keep the palms of your hands away from the pastry mixture) until the pastry combines into a ball.
5. Wrap the pastry in cling film and place it into the fridge for one hour.
6. When the pastry is ready, preheat the oven to 200C.
7. Thinly roll the pastry and make 12 cases and place them in the tray. Place equal amounts of mincemeat in each case.
8. Roll out the pastry again and create 12 lids. Seal each lid into place gently and put a small slit in the top. Brush each lid with milk.
9. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
