A basic cookie, but sooo delicious!
Heat oven to 400F. Mix thoroughly butter, granulated sugar and eggs. Blend in flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, salt and vanilla. Shape dough by rounded teaspoonful into balls.
Make a mixture of cinnamon and sugar; roll balls in mixture.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes on ungreased cookie sheets. Immediately remove to wire rack.
NOTE: If you do not have Cream of Tartar available, you can substitute equal parts of Baking Powder for the Cream of Tartar and the Baking Soda.
