"I was a little skeptical of this dish, it might sound like and unusual flavor combination but it was exceptional! The savory from the seasoned pork chops (I DID well season chops before cooking) meets the sweet of the apples and gooey caramel sauce. To me it was like french toast pork chops with apples, might not sound delicious but I thought it was divine. I will definitely be making this dish again, it went straight into our book of favorites. Heat skillet over medium-high heat. Saute chops, 5-6 minutes, turning occasionally, until both sides are evenly browned. Remove; keep warm. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar,salt, pepper, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add butter to skillet; stir in brown sugar mixture and apples. Cover and cook for 3-4 minutes or just until apples are tender. Remove apples with a slotted spoon and arrange on top of chops; keep warm. Continue cooking mixture in skillet, uncovered, until sauce thickens slightly. Spoon sauce over apples and chops. Sprinkle with pecans.

Mike5014 2 weeks agoFamily loved this dish. We left off the pecans, and used granny smith apples. I did have to cook chops longer than recipe called for, but that's my only critique. Definitely will make again
