Carmen's chili con carne

Smokey chills with meat, paired with sweet corn and beans. Perfect comfort food! This recipe makes a huge stock pot of chili, great for parties. Reduce the amounts for smaller pots.

Ingredients

2 lbs ground hamburger

1 lg onion diced

4 tbsp garlic minced

3 stalks celery sliced thin

4 cans tomato sauce

4 cups half and half

2 cans diced tomatoes

2 cans baked beans

4 cans kidney beans drained

4 small cans green chilis

1 cup green salsa

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

2 tsp Cumin

1 tbsp smoked paprika

1 tbsp liquid smoke

2 cans corn drained

32 oz chicken stock

1 can refried beans

2 tbsp crushed, dried chipotle peppers

4 tbsp Beef bouillon granules

4 tbsp Chili powder


Directions

brown the onions, garlic, and celery together. Add the hamburger and cook thoroughly. Add to stock pot. Add all other ingredients and mix well. Simmer over med-low for three hours until all flavors are well-blended, or cook in a crock pot on low. Stir occasionally to prevent clumps from collecting and sticking to the bottom.
