Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Sift together flour and baking soda and set aside.
Stir butter until smooth and then blend in white and brown sugar.
Blend in egg and vanilla.
To cream mixture add flour mixture, dried cherries, chocolate chips, toffee chips and oatmeal and blend.
Using plastic wrap to mold, make 3 logs and chill slightly. Slice 1/2 to 1/4 inch slices and place on a parchment covered cookie sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
