Makes 12 standard size muffins
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Put liners in.
Stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and spice in small/medium bowl. Whisk together pumpkin, oil, eggs and 1/2 cup sugar. Stir until just combined. Divide batter among muffin cups (each about 1/2 full).
Add one tsp cream cheese to each muffin cup and then fill muffin cup with more batter to 3/4 full.
Stir together last tablespoon of sugar and teaspoon of cinnamon. Sprinkle over each muffin. Bake until golden brown and wooden skewer inserted comes out clean, 25 to 30 minutes.
