Roasted Red Pepper Hummus

Spread hummus on whole-wheat pita bread or serve as a dip for vegetables. You may also put it on tortillas or on tacos. Hummus makes a thick, but yummy salad dressing, too. You may make it thinner by adding some water and stirring it.

Ingredients

1 can (15oz) garbanzo beans or 1 1/2 cups cooked garbanzo beans

1 tablespoon tahini (sesame seed butter)

1/4 cup lemon juice

3 tablespoons chopped green onions chopped red or white onion may be substituted

1 tablespoon garlic about 3 cloves, chopped

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 cup roasted red peppers packed in water
