German Filled Pancakes

Recipes »  Breakfast  »  Pancakes

My Great-Grandmother and Grandmother handed this down through the generations. I grew up sprinkling sugar and cinnamon on mine and my son does the same!

"Thank you for sharing this recipe! They turned out great! I knew a girl from Germany who made these for us once and I was so happy to find a recipe for them. She topped hers with peanut butter which is also great on these. I tried your cinnamon sugar as well and it was delicious. Thank you again for sharing!" - dreadree

I am 13 and I usually cook with my sisters guidence. Today I tried alone. I put in 4x the amountof salt and folded instead of flipping. It tasted like crap! But if you ignore the overwhelming salt, it is incredible. Looking on the brighter side,, I can now flip food in the air!

My Grandma is Czech and always made these for us growing up. I haven't made them yet but am so grateful to have this recipe now! I can't wait for the next weekend morning to whip these out! Thank you so much for bringing a piece of my childhood back! :)
