Birds Nest Quiche

| 1 30-oz bagFrozen shredded hash brown potatoes; thawed |
| 1/2 cupButter; melted |
| 12 ozHam; diced |
| 2 cupsSweet onions; medium dice |
| 12 ozSwiss cheese; shredded |
| 1 cupSour cream |
| 1 cupHalf-and-half cream |
| 6 eaEggs |
| 1/2 tspKosher salt |
| 1 tbChives; chopped |
Birds Nest Quiche Preparation
Press thawed hashbrowns between paper towels to remove excess moisture. Press the hashbrowns into the bottom of a 9" x 13" pan to form a crust. Drizzle melted butter over the crust. Bake in a 425 oven for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool to room temperature; reduce oven temperature to 350.
In a bowl, combine the ham, cheese and onion. Place ham and cheese mixture on the crust and spread evenly. Beat together milk, sour cream, eggs and salt. Pour egg mixture over the ham mixture. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Sprinkle the chives on top for garnish.
Notes
Crumbled bacon can be substituted for diced ham and shredded Cheddar cheese can be substituted for Swiss cheese.
