Original recipe makes 6
1 1/2 poundsround steak; (all visible fat removed, in 1/8" bite-size slices)
2 Tbsveggie oil
2 mediumonions; quartered
1 Garlic
4 teaspoonsCurry powder
1 cupTomato juice
1/2 cupWater
1.25 tspsalt
1/4 teaspoonSugar
1/4 teaspoonCinnamon

Curried Beef Preparation

Heat 1 Tbs oil in large skillet, and cook onions, garlic, and curry powder 5 mins. Put mixture in a bowl. Heat the other Tbs oil in the skillet and cook steak until browned on all sides. Add onion mixture and all other ingredients, heat to boiling, then reduce heat to low and cover and simmer 5 mins. Serve over basmati rice.
