Awesome holiday dessert! Perfect for chocolate loverss!

Original recipe makes 24
1 bagsemi-sweet chocolate chips
1 bagbutterscotch chips
1 cuppeanut butter
2 cupspowdered sugar
1/2 cupsweet & condensed milk
1/4 cupmelted butter
1/2 tspmaple flavoring
2 cupsdry-roasted peanuts

Nut Goodie Bars Preparation

Put 9x13 inch glass pan in the refrigerator.

In double broiler, melt together chocolate chips and butterscotch chips. Add peanut butter and mix until melted and creamy. Poor HALF of the mixture in glass pan and put pan back in fridge until top of mixture is dull.

In separate bowl, combine powdered sugar, sweet & condensed milk, melted butter, and maple extract. Poor mixture on top of chocolate in pan.

Sprinkle peanuts on top, then poor remainder of chocolate over peanuts. Refrigerate for about an hour. Pull pan out of refrigerator and let sit at room temperature for about 20 minutes. Cut into 1 inch squares and let sit at room temperature for another 20 minutes before removing bars from pan.

They were very good. Taste just like the ones my grandma made.... Only problem is that the white filling is still runny and it wont get firm. I have to put them in the freezer to keep is solid. What can I do so that this doesn't happen again?
