Put your pasta on to boil in a large saucepan. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking and use plenty of water, this allows the fusilli to move around freely whilst cooking
As that's doing, shallow fry your bacon bits. This will only take a few minutes. Once this is done, scoop them up and place them on a saucer with a few sheets of kitchen roll to absorb the excess grease
When your pasta is cooked. I usually check via the taste test method, but a good tip I heard was, if the fusilli is floating near the top of the pan, it's ready! Or you can refer to the cooking time printed on the packet. Drain it through a collinder, and tip back in saucepan
Next spoon out the cream cheese, I actually use a fork! Drop it into the pasta and mix thoroughly. Make sure you do this when the fusilli is still hot, it helps melt the cream cheese and when you now add the bacon bits, it all mixes together so much easier and prevents clumping
Now I grab a gravy spoon and dish it out onto a dinner plate, then
use a sprinkling of roasted onion to top it off. E voila! Bon appetite!
