These are great little burgers that take almost no time to make. But, it is important the ingredients be as close to the recipe as possible especially the beef which should be 80/20 (80% lean and 20% fat). Also the chile powder must be a chipolte chile powder. Bottom line, stick to the ingredients and your mission will be a success!
Combine egg, ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder and pinch of salt. This is best mixed by using your hands and don't over mix. Form small patties by rolling golf ball size meatballs and then squish down so they are about 3/4 thick. Basically, you want a burger that is about 3 inches wide once it's formed, just the right size for your small potato rolls.
Grill burgers on grill (high heat) for a about 5 min per side. Place a good pinch of the shredded cheese on the burger during the last 2 minutes of grilling. Grill rolls so they are browned and place a teaspoon of the sauce on the bottom bun. Assemble burgers and enjoy!
