This is a quick and easy approach to an old classic.
Place peanuts, sugar, syrup and salt in 1 1/2-2 quart bowl. Cook on full power for 5 minutes. Stir. Cook 2 minutes. Add butter and cook 1-1 1/4 minutes. Add soda and vanilla and stir until light and fluffy. Pour onto buttered cookie sheet. After 1/2 hour break into pieces.
