A family favorite great for special occasions or when a group is coming over.
Cut steak into thin strips. Combine flour salt and pepper. Coat meat and brown in hot oil 1/3 at a time. Combine wine, 1 cup water and onion soup mix add meat cover tightly. Cook slowly 45 minutes. Blend tomato paste, brown sugar and 1/2 cup water add to meat, simmer covered for 20 minutes or until meat is tender. Add cheese simmer uncovered for 10 minutes. Serve with rice.
