Add chicken breast and broth to a pot. Bring to boil, reduce heat, partly cover, simmer 20 minutes.
Remove chicken, cool, and shred.
Add onion, carrots, celery and seasonings. Simmer for 15-25 minutes until vegetables are cooked through.
Cook pasta as directed. Add pasta and chicken in the soup.
