Delicious!!! Recipe from http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/ina-garten/mulled-wine-recipe/index.html. I just added this so I could save it to My Recipes on BigOven.
Combine the cider, wine, honey, cinnamon sticks, zest, juice, cloves and star anise in a large saucepan, bring to a boil and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes. Pour into mugs, add an orange peel to each (optional) and serve.
If you have a tea infuser, place the zest, cloves, and anise in it before adding to the cider. Then you won't have to fish them out or be careful when you're drinking the mulled wine.
Also try substituting pear cider for apple for a delicious variation.
