This is an easy and delicious slice. It's always been a hit with teenagers and at 'bring a plate' morning teas.
Grease a 28cm x 18cm pan and preheat oven to 180°C.
Sift flour into a bowl, add sugar and coconut; mix well, then stir in the butter. Press mixture into the pan and bake in a moderate oven about 10 minutes until golden.
Place butter, condensed milk and golden syrup in a bowl and mix well. Pour over the base and return to the oven for a further 15-20 minutes or until golden and bubbly. Remove and cool.
Melt the chocolate milk melts according to pack instructions and spread over the cold slice. Allow to set then cut into squares. (Aim to cut the slice when it is just set. When it is set hard it is likely to crack and be difficult to cut. I sometimes score the chocolate when it is almost set or just use a very hot (but not wet) knife to cut.)
