Suggest a better descriptionRemove neck and giblets from chicken and discard. Rinse inside and out, and pat dry with paper towel. Rub lightly with oil, then rub inside and out with salt, pepper and dry rub. Set aside.
Open beer can & empty by half. Place can in beer can holder (if you have one). Plop the bird over the beer can. Place in the center of the grill over medium-high indirect heat (no heat directly under the bird) and cook with lid shut for 1 hour 15 minutes, or 165(F) in the breast & 180(F) in the thigh. Remove from the grill and let rest for 10 minutes before carving.
