Mighty Good!
Sautee onions, carrot,celery and garlic in olive oil for a few minutes. Set aside.
In mixing bowl, combine ground beef, egg, rice, ketchup, bread crumbs, beef powder ,and pepper. Add 2/3 of onion mixture,
Mix well.
Place peppers upside down on plate. Microwave about 4 minutes. Cool to handle
Fill peppers with meat mixture and place is baking dish. Add a little water to dish and cover with foil.
Place in 350 degree oven and bake about 50 minutes. Remove foil and add a half cup of tomato gravy over peppers. Top with cheese.
Put back in oven for about 10 minutes more or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve with additional gravy.
Tomato Gravy,
Add tomato sauce, tomatoes , seasonings and sugar to sautéed onion mixture. Simmer for about 30 minutes. Add water as necessary.
Adjust seasoning.
