A traditional sauce. Goes well with meat and especially meatballs.
Melt the butter and add the flour.
Brown on low heat until brown as a nut.
Dilute with stock a little at a time.
Let the sauce simmer for 10 min without a lid.
Add salt, pepper, red vine or juice to taste.
