A tasty twist on Browns Chicken Pie
Filling
1. Heat oil and butter in pan on medium heat
2. Add chicken, leek, celery, mushrooms and bacon
3. Cook until vegetables softened and chicken browned
4. Set aside
Sauce
1. Heat butter in saucepan on medium to low heat
2. When butter starts to bubble add flour and whisk to make a roux
3. Gradually add milk and simmer to thicken sauce
4. Add garlic powder and celery salt
5. Add cheese
6. Once cheese is melted and sauce is thickened take off heat and combine with part 1
Assembly
1. Spray pie dish with spray oil
2. Place filling in dish
3. Add kumara then cheese to top
4. Bake for 25min at 180
5. Grill for 5min to brown top
Serve with garden salad or on its own
